Beautifully shot against the backdrop of Amsterdam, Daisy tells the story of 3 Koreans whose fates are intertwined in a land far from home. A beautiful young street painter, a deadly assassin working for an underground chinese crime ring, and an international detective all find their lives crashing into each others. Park Yi, played by Jung Woo Sung, is an assassin for hire who finds himself in love with a street painter, Hye young (played by Jeon Ji Hyun). Everday at 4:15, Park Yi delivers daisies to Hye Young's grandfather's antique shop. Hoping to finally meet her secret admirer, Hye Young tries to catch him as he delivers the flowers. As fate would have it, one day, Hye Young meets Jung Woo, who coincidentally has a pot of daises with him. She assumes that Jung Woo, an international detective trying to catch an assassin, is the man she's been waiting for and he does nothing to disprove her.

The plot is fast-paced in all the right places, combining action and a bittersweet love story. As the lives of these 3 people become entangled, you find yourself anticipating and guessing what happens next. Jeon Ji Hyun and Jung Woo Sung deliver outstanding performaces that pluck at your heartstrings. This is definetly one Korean film worth watching!

    Hi there,

I just realized throughout the entire movie, Park-yi's name is never vocalized by anyone! ;-)

Anyway, great review you got there, short and sweet.
