If you need something fresh to watch then I think you should watch this movie because it offers you a whole new idea to Korean movie. Why? Well after you watch it then you will understand what I meant.

The story begin with Hae Ju (Sin Min Ah) who lost her eye sight in an accident and since then she felt her world was ended. But she is not that unlucky after all, she got a mother that always supports her and her boyfriend Dong Gun (Reyo Seong Beum). As the story from this point will be more interesting because Dong Gun unfortunately lies about his appearance to Hae Ju. And Hae Ju about to have operation that restores her eye sight.

The funny part begin where Gong Gun face a critical identity crisis that at some point I believe that he would kill himself but of course that is not possible because it will be the end of the story. Gong Gun tried everything to make his face look more attractive and something happened that force him to hide himself and lies that he need to go to Hawaii for work. In the meantime Hae Ju that desperately wants to see Gung Gun accidentally meets handsome Jun Ha (Kim Kang Woo). Jun Ha finds Hae Ju really attractive and soon falls in love with her.

Jun Ha tries everything to make Hae Ju falls in love with her and Dong Gun knew about this and tries to prevent every Jun Ha’s moves. Will Hae Ju falls for Jun Ha? Will Dong Gun able to prevent Jun Ha’s moves? Who will win Hae Ju’s heart Jun Ha or Dong Gun? Watch it then you will know.

How many times have you heard the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast? Well, say hello to a refreshing take on the age old tale. The Beast and the Beauty was a one of a kind movie that made you cry, laugh, and even cry AND laugh at the same time. Shin Min-Ah plays the blind and beautiful girlfriend of a gorgeous man, or so she thinks. Ryu Seung-Bum plays the part of the "gorgeous" boyfriend. He lies to her and describes himself to be a handsome and very successful business man, but in reality, he is a voice actor for cartoons. But WAIT. Before you make assumptions about him, he is a low self-esteemed man who is truly in love with this girl but can't bear to tell him about what he thinks is a disfigured face. One day, his fairy tale suddenly comes to a screeching halt with the news of an eye donor for Shin Min-Ah. Chaos ensues for Ryu Seung-Bum's character as he constantly runs away from truly showing his girlfriend who he really is. Things get all the more complicated, when Ryu's old high school friend steps into the picture.

Not only is this movie a quirky love story, but also a family movie with morals. I usually tend to stray from movies with the same old plot, but the Beast and the Beauty was such a different outtake on a familiar storyline. I couldn't resist. My whole family enjoyed it as did I the first, second, and third time I watched it. The hilarious scenes are bound to make you laugh. This is a sweet love story that will be around for decades.

This was a GREAT movie. It's at the top of my list. Sure the dude lies, but he, unlike the more contrived mean-spirited-bad-boys-misunderstood story lines, actually has a heart of gold.
